L. C. Hooper House
1305 North Bridge Street
The early history of the house at 1305 North Bridge Street remains wrapped in mystery. It sits today, recently brought beautifully up to date by its current owners. Deed records fail to document the original date of construction. As with many old houses, the stories of different families are woven into the fabric of these histories, and this house is no exception.

It is believed that J. P. Pool purchased the old Dupree home on South William Street sometime around March 1913 and had it moved to the north half of the block where he lived. At last, the house at 1305 North Bridge Street emerges from the shadows.
